A young single woman who describes herself as a ‘strategic dater’ has shared how she plans to find the love of her life.

Olivia, from the Kent, England, carefully selects from ‘elite’ single men who match her personality and values, and says being picky ensures her time isn’t wasted.

The 26-year-old has gone to extravagant lengths to find her perfect match – on one occasion she was flown to to meet her charming date.

‘For me, [dating strategically] involves being clear on what I want for my future and my future partner, which rules out any time wasters,’ she told FEMAIL.

Olivia uses the dating platform Seeking.com that connects ‘attractive and successful’ singles from around the world – and being flown to LA was one of many highlights.

Before she started using the global platform, Olivia said she experienced the worst date she’s ever been on. 

‘I once went on a date with someone who took me to a strip club and referred to me as his ‘friend’ the whole night – yikes!’ she said. 

From then on Olivia started ‘dating up’ by using the platform and only matched with successful men of a particular standard. 

‘Leaving my love life up to chance just isn’t something I’m interested in,’ Olivia said.

‘It really allows me to connect with people, knowing I am not compromising things that are important to me.’

The qualities she looks for in a man include humility, intelligence and transparency. 

In her experience, Olivia said all the men she’s met on the platform have been ‘incredibly respectful and gentlemanly’.  

‘I am looking for someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously and someone I can be my authentic self around,’ she said.   

Unlike popular dating apps, such as Tinder or Bumble, Seeking.com ensures users don’t ‘settle for less than their ideal’ match.

Over the past couple months conversations sparked surrounding dating ‘swindlers’ off the back of the popular Netflix show ‘The Tinder Swindler’ – a true crime documentary about an accused con man who entices women on dating apps for money. 

When asked if she ever feels nervous or concerned about dating people online, Olivia says she always feels safe and often video calls first. 

‘You have the option to carry out background checks on any of your matches.They also look out for potentially abusive behaviour across platforms to ensure your safety, because of this I always feel confident with my matches and know I am safe,’ she said.
