A Brazilian model and influencer has been arrested after he drove his motorcycle into a 16-year-old boy so fast his leg was torn off and thrown 50 yards into the air.

Bruno Krupp, 25, allegedly killed Joao Gabriel Cardim Guimaraes, 16, after he hit the boy whilst driving at high speed on his Yamaha motorbike in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio de Janeiro. 

Joao was walking across a street with his mother when Krupp crashed into the schoolboy on Saturday.

    Krupp, who was also treated in hospital following the collision, was arrested this morning for murder with eventual intent. 

    The influencer, who must undergo clavicle surgery, will remain in custody at the hospital until he is released by doctors.

    Joao’s leg was torn off on impact, with the leg landing 50 yards away. Medics placed his leg into an ice box to be preserved – but Joao died shortly after arriving at the hospital. 

    ‘He is known, every weekend he spends here. Those noisy motorcycles, they fly by here, sometimes they pass by here, and when we what do magic mushrooms look like at it, it’s already far away’, a kiosk worker who saw the accident on Saturday, told Globo. 

    CCTV shows Krupp accelerating down the street as Joao and his mother crossed the street. 

    Three days before the crash, Krupp was fined for not having a driver’s licence.
